GOALS of GNM

1) To search out those who have not heard the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Saving Grace, especially those in the more remote mountain villages where the mainline foreign ministers normally do not venture. [Ro.10:14-15] 2) To minister natural and Spiritual healing to those hurting in spirit, soul and body i.e. medical missions  [Is.53:4-5; 1Pe.2:24; 1Th.5:23; Mk.16:17-20; 3Jn.1:2] 3) To equip by teaching the un-compromised Word of God that exalts Jesus Christ and addresses both the spiritual and physical aspects of life. [Ep.4:11-12]  4) To make disciples of Jesus Christ who then would teach and disciple others. [Mt.28:18-20; 2Tim.2:1-2] 5) To encouragement and refresh the indigenous pastors through seminars. 6) To be an example of a faithful ambassador of Jesus Christ in Word and Deed

BRIEF REVIEW OF 2009-10

Ministry of 2009 -10 included teaching in WAWC Bible School which focuses on training young potential pastors, local home Bible Study groups, local interdenominational churches, remote villages, public schools, and doing evening crusades with WAWC evangelist Richard Sebastian. The crusades, as they are called, will generate an average of 60-80 people making decisions to follow Jesus Christ. Follow up is provided by the local pastors in the area.

FUTURE GNM MINISTRY IN CONJUNCTION WITH WAWC Jan.15 - May 3, 2011

In addition to what GNM is already involved with, we are now planning to do MEDICAL MISSION outreaches in the more remote villages. The program will include the help of volunteer medical doctors and dentists and provide limited quantities of medicines, food items and clothing to the villagers. We are dedicated to do our best to minister to both the spiritual and physical needs of the Filipino people. This past year has been devastating to thousandsof Filipino people due to flooding, mud slides [our ministry car was completely destroyed in one of these mud slides along with 20 people killed] and earthquakes. God deals with us both spiritually and physically so both areas of ministry must be considered.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE PHILIPPINES

The Philippines lies about 1800 miles SW of Japan. It consists of some 7000 islands, the northern larger island is Luzon, and the largest southern most island is Mindanao. Manila, the capital, is located in central Luzon. The population has grown to over 92 million and still has one of the highest birth rates in the world. The country’s present cultural heritage has been formed by a mixture of Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese and some English immigrants over hundreds of years. Each wave of people brought with them their own cultures, each of which, added to the previous cultural mosaic. As a result the Filipino culture today is a very diverse blend of many languages [over 107 different dialects], food, religion, architecture and ethnic backgrounds. The people, in general, are friendly, hospitable, very patient and have never ending radiant smiles. In traveling through this country one would find a land still encompassing elements of the “older traditional” way of life mixed with the modern industrial cities, such as Manila. It is definitely a country of great diversity and exceptional freedom of religious expression. Due to the fact that America has been consistently tightening its grip on personal freedoms, especially regarding public  expression of Christian values, the Philippines is now, in some ways, a much freer nation than ours. That is a very sad, yet true commentary, especially since the United States is a nation in the position of world leadership and should be a moral and ethical model to other nations of the world.
