BIBLE OUTREACH for Kenya (Letter from Bro. Julius)

We are grateful for the donation of Bibles from MWA through program coordinator, Chet Wises efforts and those who are participating in this cause. From this program New Converts, Students who come to Jesus, Needy Pastors, and young people who are being Discipled receive capability for foundational growth, as they receive the Word and can read it and learn from it themselves even as they are being taught at Christ Testimony Ministries and it’s adjoining ministries.

In the past three years over 450 Swahili and English Bibles have been given to people here. Of these, approximately three quarters have been in the native tongue of Swahili. Christ Testimony Ministry (CTM) disciples and teaches the Word to those receiving salvation and provides them with a Bible.

Most of the people who receive Swahili Bibles can only read in the Swahili language, even then, many times, they can not read well. Because of the poverty plaguing many people, the Swahili Bibles have also become an instrument of teaching literacy while educating about the Word of God and it’s meaning in our lives. God has helped many, by his grace, to understand Swahili even better as they became literate and they are very grateful. Those we disciple are thankful to God for using MWA team through “Papa” Chet Wise to make this Bible donation possible.

Bible donation and outreach has not been limited to CTM alone. We have given out Bibles to churches, and other ministries, who are zealous of the word of God and have worked closely with us, in the Word, to reach the un-reached and under-privileged. We have several pastors from other ministries who have discipled people, taught them the Word and have called on me to Baptize them. At these times I give out Bibles too.  We are seeing the congregations grow in numbers and their people growing to maturity spiritually, since they have their own Bibles to further study on what the ministers are preaching. Financial lack is the biggest trouble for our people. It is not easy for one to get the  $ 13.50 to buy a Swahili Bible. Everyone feels that MWA is God-led to do the Bible outreach. Recipients are rejoicing day and night as they read the Bible in their own language. The need is just so great at this time because many people are turning to the Lord. Lives of people are being changed. It is our prayer that God will continue this Bible outreach ministry. God bless all the donors towards this.
